Howdy!

My name is Caitlin Demers (pronounced “Dih-MURZ). I was born and raised in North Texas and have been writing since I was seven years old. In 2026, I graduated from Colorado Christian University with a BA in Creative Writing. Now I am navigating what post-school life looks like and striving to kick off my writing career!

Have I always wanted to write? No. After considering professional ballet, acting, military, and law, I realized writing is my passion, especially YA sci-fi/fantasy. My writing has been influenced by my mom, who is also a writer, and movie franchises such as Star Wars and Marvel. Authors like Leigh Bardugo, Jennifer A. Nielsen, and Marissa Meyer have also inspired me to write YA sci-fi/fantasy. Books always whisk me away to new worlds and kingdoms, and I often daydream of visiting those places myself. But since I seem to be stuck here in Texas, I will just have to write about my own worlds!

My goal is to provide spice-free fiction for YA readers because I personally believe spice has no place in books meant for teens (especially those as young as 12). In my books, you can expect wholesome adventures in far off lands and galaxies. There's of course romance - but not the spicy kind. If you want adventure without skipping pages, I got you!
