Hey there!

My name is Caitlin Demers (pronounced “Dih-murz). I was born and raised in North Texas and have been writing since I was seven years old. I am the author of the short story Heirs of Power, which can be found on Amazon, and I hope to provide you with books soon!

Have I always wanted to write? No. After considering professional ballet, acting, military, and law, I realized writing is my passion, especially YA sci-fi/fantasy. My writing has been influenced by my mom, who is also a writer, as well as movie franchises like Star Wars and Marvel.

 

Authors like Leigh Bardugo, Jennifer A. Nielsen, and Marissa Meyer have also inspired me to write YA sci-fi/fantasy. Those authors always whisk me away to far-off worlds and kingdoms, and I often daydream of visiting those places myself. But since I seem to be stuck here in Texas, I will just have to write about my own worlds!
